The second trick C-d-P's have up their sleeve is a natural yeasts that ferments the sugar for super long periods. Once the luxurious blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah is crafted it gets bottled into unique Chateauneuf embossed bottles and flax labels. Vieux Lazaret is a stunning example of the legend that is Chateauneuf du Pape wine but without going over the top - yes $50 is very reasonable for CDP's which complement a meal of rich saucy red meat or a gamey terrine.
