Decanters

Decanters serve two main purposes. Besides allowing wine to breathe, they’re also particularly useful when it comes to removing sediment from older or unfiltered wines. Most wines, especially reds, will benefit from a quick run through a decanter fifteen minutes or so before you plan to experience them. This will help to soften the wine by rounding out some of the gripping tannins sometimes found in big reds.
