It was back 1531 the local Monks in the Abbey of Saint-Hilaire (Southwest France) took the line honours as the first winemakers in the world to discover sparkling wine. Back then it was known as Blanquette de Limoux where nowadays its known as Crement de Limoux (Sparkling from Limoux). Grande Cuvee 1531 from Limoux recreates a Champagne experience at a third of the price with its gorgeous soft bubbles threading through a mouthfilling experience of creamy biscuity flavours.
