This Estate Chardonnay uses a medley of vineyards to source its fruit from. Patchworked throughout the 150 acre Man O War estate each site was individually selected with the planted variety in mind. Vineyards on clay based soils provide the classic chardonnay characters of soft peaches while those grown on volcanic soils infuse the typical Waiheke 'minerality' found in so many of islands chardy's. The Islander Chardonnay was crafted with a view of the sea, so as you can imagine the perfect food match is fish and seafood.
