Created over 5 vintages, Maude's magical Methode is an outstanding new edition to the NZ sparkling scene. Sarah-Kate and Dan Dineen set up Maude in search of creating the 'Holy Grail of Winemaking' - the perfect Pinot. Since Pinot Noir is a standard base wine for bubbles it was a natural progression for the dynamic duo to try their hand at crafting a sparkling. Of course Dan and SK had to think about right at the beginning of venture with the earliest of the base wines heralding from the 2004 vintage. The rest of blend came from 2005, 2008, 2011 & 2012. As with the standard Pinot and for that matter any wine that these tow have ever created Maude's Methode Traditionnelle is gorgeous. Complex layers of rich characters will impress.
