Misha’s Vineyard winemaker Olly Masters has created such a performance in this Central Otago Pinot worthy of holding your attention on any stage. Although the ‘High Note’ Pinot Noir is Misha’s highest volume wine, it is still very much a boutique production. The 2017 High Note grab’s your attention with is gorgeous array of smells similar to red and black liquorice, dark cherries and sweet spice. As with any performer’s high note this Pinot Noir slowly builds up its flavour momentum, from the initial fruit welcome of dark berries and ripe cherries, to the wild herbs and savoury characters, following into the more weighted texture of velvety tannins enriched with gentle oak.
