Fromm Riesling Spatlese 2023

2020 is an extraordinary vintage for Riesling. The fruit was ripe and in pristine condition with absolutely no botrytis and the relatively cool season provided a very tight, low pH structure, which makes this Spätlese one of the most precise expressions of our style. The colour is pale yellow with a greenish hint.

The nose opens with pure, vibrant Riesling aromas and an understated complexity, a touch of lemon rind and peach notes, also orange blossom florals. The sweet entry on the palate quickly gives way to a mouth-watering, citrus infused taste sensation and a flavour density that is balanced with cleansing, ripe acidity and subtle flintstone minerality to give a long and “moreish” finish. And with only 7% alcohol, you can indeed enjoy the extra glass.
