Like its name Man O' War flagship Chardonnay Valhalla as reached mythical status as with the hall it is named from. In Norse mythology it is glorious hall of Valhalla to where the fallen Viking Soldiers would feast with the gods. After a recent run of exceptional vintages this Waihekean classic delivers an experience that's out of this world fit for a God. As you can imagine Valhalla sells out fast and it has taken two years to get it back on the shelves. Grown by Matt Allen and crafted by Duncan McTavish from nine distinctive vineyards Valhalla uses wild fermentations and large 500l barrels to impose its characters into the fruit. The result is Chardonnay heaven! with bundles of tropical fruit, almond and butterscotch, nutty toasted oak and streaks of flinty minerals. Valhalla finally relinquishing its power on your mouth with one final fling with some fresh grapefruit acidity. Brilliant with a range of white meat but is truely godlike when experienced with BBQ'd Garlic Crayfish.
